There should be three jacks on the tv and three on the vcr-- yellow, white, and red. Using cables that have plugs with the same colors (called RCA cables), you match yellow plug to yellow jack, white plug to white jack, and red plug to red jack (for both the tv and vcr). If this isn't clear, see if the link below can help.
I wish you luck!
On the back of your VCR there will be a yellow colored port - most likely labeled "OUT" as well as possibly a white/red pair of ports. The yellow is for a VIDEO hookup, the white and red are for AUDIO hookups. These ports use what is called an RCA type connection.Radio Shack, or just about any department store should be able to sell you an inexpensive set of RCA cables.now on the back of the TV (possibly on the side) you will also have the yellow, white and red ports.Hook one end of the RCA cable to the colored ports on the VCR, the other end of the cable to the colored ports on the TV.last thing - the TV most likely has multiple inputs. there is probably a input button on the TVs remote, you need to press that button to cycle through the inputs until you get to the one the VCR is hooked up to. its easiest to put a tape in the VCR and press play - when you get to the right input, you will see your tape...good luck
