Ive got a Fuse problem with an LCD TV a mini 12v 20w
Ive got a problem with an LCD TV a mini 12v 20w one. The SMD Fuse has blown and i cannot find a replacement anywhere. Its an SMD White 2.5Amp Fast Blow Fuse and i was wondering if a 20mm Glass Replacement would sort the problem out being the same amperage. Or i have measured the Current across the fuse and the Tv upon power up and the warm up of the CCFL Backlights only consumes 1.33Amps at max so would a 2A SMD Fuse work?

Hi thereI would personally only use a 2.5 or 3A (The same or slightly above ) you may also find that something has gone faulty in the power supply that is causing the fust to blow, I would check the bridge rectifier and all diodes / resistors and also check for buldged / swollen capacitors first. If these all check out fine then maybe its just a quick fuse change due to a surge.Hope this helps
